Other Relationship Testing
Family Reconstruction & Sibship TestingRECONSTRUCT A FAMILY TREE TO PROVE RELATIONSHIPS
A Family Reconstruction DNA Test is used to reconstruct a family tree to prove relationships. A Sibship DNA Test establishes if two Alleged Siblings share the same Parent when that parent is not available for testing.
mtDNA TestingIDENTIFY YOUR DIRECT MATERNAL LINEAGE
An mtDNA Test is a test used to identify your direct maternal lineage. The test analyzes your family tree, tracing backwards from a Child (male or female) to their Mother, then to their Mother's Mother, and so on, to find out who shares the same mtDNA.
Y-Chromosome TestingIDENTIFY YOUR DIRECT PATERNAL LINEAGE
A Y-Chromosome Test is used to identify your direct paternal lineage. The test analyzes your family tree, tracing backwards from a male Child to their Father, then to their Father's Father, and so on, to find out who shares the same Y-Chromosome DNA.
Grandparent TestingTESTING PATERNAL GRANDPARENTAGE TO DETERMINE PATERNITY WHEN THE ALLEGED FATHER IS UNAVAILABLE
If a Paternity Test for a Child is needed but the Alleged Father is not available for testing, a Grandparent DNA Test may be used. We require the DNA from both Paternal Grandparents for this test. DNA samples from the Mother of the Child is not needed but highly recommended because it makes testing cheaper, easier, and more conclusive.
Twin Zygosity TestingDETERMINE WHETHER TWINS ARE IDENTICAL OR FRATERNAL TWINS
Twin Zygosity Testing identifies whether twins are identical or fraternal twins. This type of testing would usually be done shortly after birth to satisfy the curiosity of the parents. You would also perform this test to aid in a medical emergency, such as an organ or blood donation.
