A Paternity DNA Test report will only state the result of Paternity, NOT Maternity, even if the Mother’s samples are included in the test. While the Mother’s alleles will show on a Paternity Report, a Paternity Test makes the assumption that the Mother tested is the Known Mother (if she is not, it will be clear very early in testing that her DNA doesn’t match the Child’s). Therefore, the conclusion on a Paternity report is between the Father and the Child only. If you want a probability of Maternity as well, this involves more testing and a separate result report that states Maternity.

We do not charge for another test to be performed, however a separate Maternity report must be printed if a result for maternity is needed as part of a Paternity Test. In oder to do this, samples for Mother, Father and Child must all be tested at the same time, otherwise we will need to perform a new analysis.
